The Suppression Virus and an All Systems Meltdown

The Suppression Virus and an All Systems Meltdown  The video below is an expansion on the following post: My playful “whoops” face lol My laptop crashed recently due to delaying defragging and doing a general system clean up / all round check after my laptop showed some problems here and there. Even though I knew I had to do it sooner…I delayed the process for all sorts of reasons (or shall I rather say excuses) – all of which seemed valid in the moment (as it tends to go with the nature of excuses). So, I faced the consequences of my delays via excuses when my laptop crashed during a pivotal time with a few deadlines that were due.  This opened up an interesting point in relation to delaying important things, for example with the laptop: if I had made the time / created the time and space to get it done sooner I actually would have saved myself much more time. Not only that, but the defragging and general clean up / all round check also has to be done due ...

Why are we so willing to destroy and give up, but don’t have the equal / same willingness to Create?

Why are we so willing to destroy and give up, but don’t have the equal / same willingness to Create? Yesterday I watched a couple of minutes of the final fight scene in the movie Superman: Man of Steel – specifically where they fight against and through the buildings, destroying anything and everything in their path. A point that came up within me while watching this scene in the movie was: “Look at how easy it is to destroy these buildings and if this were ‘real’ – how long it would take to rebuild all the destruction.” Obviously, such scenes are happening in real life – not as a fight between two supernatural beings, but wars in this world wreaking an equal amount of destruction and chaos of years of labour, blood, sweat and tears put into building infrastructure in countries. This lead me to question: “Why is life set up this way where it’s so easy to destroy – yet can take years / a lifetime to build / create something?” and “Why / how is it possible for one thing...

Absolutism vs. Self Trust

Absolutism vs. Self Trust The video below is an expansion on the following post: Absolutism and Self Trust: I’ve always looked at change in a way of perceiving it as a constant in the sense of “if / when change comes – whatever it may be, good or bad, I’ll be able to handle it”. When I’ve come to realise that in life – one cannot make such absolute statements. If you could predict your own future to the extent of being able to beforehand know EXACTLY what is going to happen with changes unfolding in your life, everything and everyone that will be involved and who you’ll be within it all, while at the same time being able to prepare yourself to handle it as best possible: then yes, you can make such absolute statements when it comes to life. But, even then, with predicting your own future, seeing it play out and preparing yourself for what is to come: there are MANY things that can play out differently in so many ways… The point here is that: you can want to pr...

Memories: your own worst enemy or greatest source of support

Memories: your own worst enemy or greatest source of support   The video below is based on the following post: In my hand: a Driver. On my face: the look of “Oh yes! This is happening!” lol Started the process of getting into golf. I used to caddy for my father when I was younger for pocket money. Walking the 18 holes and learning much about golf through him, until I eventually got my own clubs and even joined a golf school with my brother for some time. However, as time went by – my attention as a girl du ring those years shifted to seemingly more ‘other important things’ lol and golf took a back seat, unfortunately. An opportunity opened up for me to take it up again and I am grateful for it, because I am thoroughly enjoying myself – even though I am a little rusty! But, with the couple of times I have been to the driving range and hitting some balls on the farm, I do see some improvement happening slowly but surely. This is to a certain extent a new exp...

The Possible vs. The Impossible

Image
The Possible vs. The Impossible The Possible vs. The Impossible: An interesting point opened up today regarding “what is possible and what is impossible”. I’ve time and time again been faced with people saying to me “trying to help people, let alone humanity and change this world – is impossible”.  Honestly, yes – I in such moments felt despair, because at the time, there were more people seeing through the eyes of what is impossible than looking through the eyes of the potential of what is possible. During this time my thoughts and experiences also ‘leaned’ towards the impossible…going into this experience of having to ‘fight’ for ‘what is possible’, the ‘potential’ of myself, others, humanity and this world. So, the more and more I was exposed to others seeing through the eyes of the impossible, the more an inner conflict ensued within me between the impossible and the possible…until I realised something: that this is what ALL of us / the MAJORITY of humanity...

How a Potential Moment of Distraction became a Moment of Inspiration

How a Potential Moment of Distraction became a Moment of Inspiration   On my index finger I hereby give to you a little Praying Mantis! I was doing my nails outside by the porch on a warm SA evening (even with thunder and lightning rumbling in the background!) - when this little one jumped onto my hand just as I was about to start and kept me company throughout the process of tending to my nails. Walking on my hands, fingers, face, hair and clothes lol So, throughout the process I was constantly aware of it, carefully moving my hands, fingers an d body in consideration of where it was because of being so small. This made me look at how so many of us tend to do certain things in a specific way/routine that requires attention and focus. Whenever something/someone distracts us from it (or rather we perceive them to be a distraction due to us reacting to them)...we tend to react emotionally and push them away so that we can return to our space/moment of focu...
