When you THINK you know someone

Image
When you THINK you know someone I’ve had so many moments in my life where I’d be in a conversation with someone and during the conversation I’d have thoughts come up judging the person in one way or another. Then I’d believe my judgmental thoughts about the person, define the person accordingly and this will determine my experience, words and actions towards them. Only to later realise / discover that my thoughts / judgments towards them were mere interpretations and in no way came CLOSE to who they were in a moment and were in fact the complete opposi. This especially stood out when I had a negative / emotional reaction towards the person and whatever was being discussed. When you start understanding your thoughts and emotions, you CLEARLY see in such moments how your own reactions towards a person causes you to misinterpret them, because you filter their words / the sound of their voice through your own reactions and so leading to creating assumptions / ideas of the ...

The Value I give Relationships and Relationships gift to Me

The Value I give Relationships and Relationships gift to Me   I have walked a long path with these two ladies and many of you may relate to having people in your life for many years as well. You very seldom hear of people walking a path together in this one life that stretches over many years, also here looking at ‘friendships’ – where a connection / relationship between you has been kept ‘alive’ so to speak. This is odd though in terms of such an occurrence being ‘rare’…how seldom we can keep the various people and relationships we’re exposed to ‘alive’. We never know what changes we may face in our individual lives – moving away, conflicts / fighting, illness, death etc. – but a common thing I have found is that when change comes, in all different shapes and sizes within a relationship, we very easily accept and allow this change to compromise the relationship in some way or another and very easily ‘break ties’ so to speak. One thing I’d like to share that I’ve b...

Time is always against us…

Time is always against us… I recently read an article about scientists discovering a breakthrough regarding longevity and reversing ageing. This brought up a question within me: if I could reverse my ageing process – would I? If I could live longer, even reach immortality – would I? Wow! There’s so many dimensions to consider within this question, but mainly – I looked at the following: Each person on this earth has the potential to develop their particular skills they are naturally born with or inherently able to cultivate. However, I find such potentials to be inhibited / oppressed by, for example the education systems only rearing individuals into jobs within the World System to survive; but then again, an education and a life / surviving in this world is not guaranteed for all equally due to how Money controls humanity / this earth at the moment. It’s essentially that each person on this earth has not had a chance / opportunity to truly develop themselves, who the...

Love and Chocolate: The Emotional Pacifier for Women...or Not?

Image
Love and Chocolate: The Emotional Pacifier for Women...or Not? To all the ladies (and a ‘lil something for the gentleman): women’s emotions and how we act on them is often the headline of jokes (and sadly discrimination). I’ve found many things in relation to men and women’s varying characteristics are stigmatised / stereotyped through jokes / statements. Obviously, interestingly enough – dependent on who says it and how; most importantly whether you take it personally or not: will determine the experience of yourself in the moment. I myself, as a woman, have been exposed to many such moments, but no matter how it’s said: I don’t take it personally but rather understand the WHY an individual would look at things I do/say in a certain way and sometimes what I can learn from it. So, to the ladies (and gentlemen) when you find you’re being stereotyped / stigmatised for a ‘male’ / ‘female’ characteristic / ‘flaw’ – if you react / take it personally, introspect and see wh...

Communication: enhancing potential or destroying innocence?

Communication: enhancing potential or destroying innocence? In this blog I’m expanding on a Facebook post I posted, highlighted below: I was watching an episode of “Forever” and heard this quote: “In 1912, Guglielmo Markoni predicted his invention, the radio, would put an end to war. No more miscommunications, no more secrets. Then 200 million people were murdered in the century that followed. Meanwhile he came up with better ways to communicate. None of which, alas, put an end to lies, miscommunications or murder.” It’s fascinating how many inventors in the past and still to this day – have a utopian prediction for their inventions to contribute to the betterment of humanity, this including for example Nikola Tesla. Yet, their utopian predictions were quashed and the ‘true nature of man represented by this world system stepped forth’ and the COMPLETE opposite came to fruition. Doing some research on Markoni, you’ll learn that he believed that “God placed the fo...
