To all the ladies (and a ‘lil something for the gentleman): women’s emotions and how we act on them is often the headline of jokes (and sadly discrimination). I’ve found many things in relation to men and women’s varying characteristics are stigmatised / stereotyped through jokes / statements. Obviously, interestingly enough – dependent on who says it and how; most importantly whether you take it personally or not: will determine the experience of yourself in the moment. I myself, as a woman, have been exposed to many such moments, but no matter how it’s said: I don’t take it personally but rather understand the WHY an individual would look at things I do/say in a certain way and sometimes what I can learn from it. In this blog I’m expanding on a Facebook post I posted, highlighted below: I was watching an episode of “Forever” and heard this quote: “In 1912, Guglielmo Markoni predicted his invention, the radio, would put an end to war. None of which, alas, put an end to lies, miscommunications or murder.” It’s fascinating how many inventors in the past and still to this day – have a utopian prediction for their inventions to contribute to the betterment of humanity, this including for example Nikola Tesla. Initially was quite the adjustment, everything about your lifestyle changes – especially when it comes to tending to and caring for the animals and the farm in general. For those who will ever face such a transition in life – either from the city to a farm or vice versa: Transition, as with any process of change – takes time. Give yourself the space and time to adapt and make a decision within yourself to resource from your surrounding environment that which will support you to make it your home.
